Today, the Mukam Palace of the State Culture Centre hosted the opening ceremony of Days of culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.

The cultural-humanitarian dialogue acts as an important component of Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation. In this plan, a special significance is given to organization of regular joint cultural events. The present creative event can serve another example for it.

Initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedova on popularisation of the literary legacy of Magtymguly Fragi in the world are successfully realised now under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

One should note that with a view of wide celebration of the 300th birthday anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi in Uzbekistan the corresponding Resolution was adopted, besides it, Turkmen and Uzbek cinematographers made a feature film devoted to the life and works of the poet and thinker. It attests to another fact that relations between two countries, based on friendship and good neighbourhood principles, are enriched with the new events.

Heads and representatives of profile ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, diplomatic representative offices accredited in our country, mass media, and workers of art and culture took part in the opening ceremony of Days of culture.

On the sidelines of the event, the foyer of the Mukam Palace housed the exhibition of works of decorative and applied arts. The exposition displayed materials and works of traditions and culture, natural sights and history of the people of the neighbouring country.

Speakers of the ceremony underlined achievements in the light of realisation of strategy of complex humanitarian partnership, promoting mutual enrichment of cultures and arts, development of constructive links in this area, and expressed sincere gratitude to heads of two friendly states. As they marked, the present joint event like previous ones, allowed to define new areas of mutual relations and once again served as a bridge for the dialogue of cultures.

Then, the concert of workers of art and culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held with music-song, dance, and ethnographic numbers. The performance of workers of culture and art of the neighbouring country made a bright impression on the gathered.

The concert program continued with the performance of the group of musicians who displayed their skills of playing on ancient musical instruments of Uzbek people.

Spectators accompanied each performer with a Storm of applause. The modern technologies accompanying numbers, added special colours to them.

On the margins of Days of culture, on November 19 the State Library of the State Culture Centre will host the meeting of writers of two countries, devoted to creativity of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi.

The capital recreation park «Daşkent» will also host the concert of workers of art and culture of the neighbouring country, show of national Uzbek costumes and dishes as well as exhibition of decorative and applied arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
