On October 10, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a visit to Turkmenistan.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that he was very glad to have the opportunity to visit fraternal Turkmenistan once again. As noted, the Republic of Tatarstan highly appreciates the significant personal contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to strengthening effective dialogue.

Having warmly welcomed the head of the Republic of Tatarstan to the ancient Turkmen land during the wide celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted the dynamic and fruitful nature of the interaction between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan, which is successfully developing within the framework of the interstate dialogue with the Russian Federation.

Speaking about the significance of the visit of the head of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that this testifies to the high level of friendly relations between our peoples, based on common spiritual values.

Regular high-level meetings and negotiations help strengthen traditional ties.

Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation have long-standing fruitful ties in the humanitarian sphere. A wealth of experience has been accumulated in cooperation in the fields of science, education, culture and training of highly qualified personnel.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness to continue working on expanding multilateral cooperation with fraternal Tatarstan within the framework of effective interaction between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
