Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived the day before on a working visit to the Russian Federation, is taking part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in Moscow.

Being an associate member of the CIS in accordance with its neutral status, Turkmenistan takes an active position in the development of fruitful cooperation in the Commonwealth, taking into account the existing impressive potential in various fields. Our country is united with the CIS states by traditional ties of friendship and good neighborliness, close historical and cultural ties, which serves as a solid foundation for building up mutually beneficial partnership and enriching its content.

During the narrow and expanded format, with the participation of members of delegations, the Summit participants will discuss current aspects of the regional and international agenda.

A signing ceremony of the final documents is planned at the end of the Summit.
