Today, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
First of all, the head of state, on his own behalf and on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, wholeheartedly congratulated V. Putin on his convincing victory in the past Presidential elections of the Russian Federation.
«Your re-election to this highest post is an indicator of the high trust placed in you and recognition of your services to the country», President Serdar Berdimuhamedov especially emphasized, and taking this opportunity, he wished the Russian Federation further economic growth and well-being under the wise leadership of its leader, and the entire multinational Russian people – progress and prosperity in the years ahead.
During the conversation that followed, the parties noted with satisfaction that currently relations between Turkmenistan and Russia are at a high level. Based on long-standing ties of friendship, trust and mutual understanding, they are consistently developing in a wide range of areas.
As noted, our countries interact constructively both bilaterally and within international organizations.
A special place on the agenda of the Turkmen-Russian partnership, according to general opinion, is occupied by the development of trade and economic relations. Energy, trade, transport and agriculture have received new developments in recent years.
At the same time, cultural and humanitarian ties are actively supported, and inter-parliamentary interaction is consistently carried out.
The interlocutors especially emphasized the importance of established fruitful direct contacts between Turkmenistan and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which enrich interstate cooperation with new content.
Taking this opportunity, the head of the Turkmen state Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to his Russian counterpart for his personal contribution to strengthening the friendship between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, expressing his deep conviction that mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to be enhanced through joint efforts for the common good.
At the end of the telephone conversation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Vladimir Putin wished each other good health, well-being and success in responsible government activities, and progress and prosperity to the friendly peoples of the two countries.
