Today, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov set out for a working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

At the international airport of the capital, officials as well as a representative of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan saw off Hero-Arkadag.

During the conversation with the diplomat, mutual interest of two friendly countries in further all-round deepening of the fruitful interstate dialogue established in recent years, which is based on indestructible traditions of friendship, trust and mutual understanding, was underlined.

Regular bilateral meetings testify to the general aspiration to bring out old cooperation to a qualitatively new level, which completely answers priorities of social and economic development and national interests of each of the countries.

So, an official visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates in February of the past year, in the course of which important agreements were reached became a major landmark in the history of interstate relations successfully built in different formats, first of all, on the platform of authoritative regional and international organisations.

Having wished Hero-Arkadag successes in the meetings planned during his visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the visit will give a new powerful impulse to development of Turkmen-Emirates cooperation and serve strengthening of traditional bonds of friendship and brotherhood between peoples of two countries.

Then, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got aboard of the plane, which headed to Abu-Dhabi.

… 2,5 hours later, the air liner of Hero-Arkadag landed at the international airport of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, decorated with national flags of two countries.

In honour of the arrival of the honoured guest along the carpet path running from the ramp of the plane, soldiers of the Guard of honour were lined.

In the air harbour, Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Al Mazrouei and other officials hospitably welcomed the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

During the short conversation, which took place there, a special significance given by our country to all-round expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the United Arab Emirates as one of the most dynamically developing countries of the planet was underlined.

Having pointed out that the adjusted meaningful dialogue is promoted in many respects by regular negotiations at various levels, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan expressed confidence in success of all meetings planned on the sidelines of the present visit, called to give a new filling to traditional partnership.

Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Al Ariki, the representative of the UAE President for cooperation with Turkmenistan.

Having expressed to Arkadag his sincere gratitude for the given time, Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Al Ariki underlined the sincere interest of the Emirates in establishment of close mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, which enjoys deservedly a great prestige in the world.

As was marked, large-scale transformations, first of all, reforms and diversification of the national economy carried out in the country ensured Turkmenistan stably high rates of social and economic growth.

- Our country is always open for constructive interaction with all interested partners – both with foreign states and separate companies, which possess positive experience and innovative solutions, - Hero-Arkadag underlined.

Having noted that a reliable and strong legislative basis and favourable investment climate developed create all conditions for successful work of foreign businesses in the perspective Turkmen market, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that during his present visit to the United Arab Emirates a good possibility for discussion of prospects of interaction in various areas will be presented.

Among priority vectors of Turkmen-Emirates cooperation trade and economic, bank-financial, fuel and energy spheres were named.

As known, having enormous reserves of natural gas, Turkmenistan conducts an active work on development of huge deposits of the "blue fuel” and diversification of export routes of energy carriers to international markets.

At the same time, Turkmenistan pays much attention to development of the "green" energy, undertaking consecutive steps aimed at advancement of projects on wide use of renewed energy sources.

Another perspective vector of cooperation is the transport-communications sector, development of which Turkmenistan carries out taking into account national interests and favourable geographic location.

Once again having thanked for the possibility of personal meeting, Mohamed Saeed Mohamed Al Ariki wished the National Leader of the Turkmen people fruitfulness of the meetings to be held on the margins of his present visit, called to promote strengthening and further development of Turkmen-Emirates economic interaction.

Then, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of separate deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet of Turkmenistan and some other heads.

Addressing the heads of the fuel and energy complex, who were also taking part in the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty marked that the United Arab Emirates is one of the countries, with which Turkmenistan has long established close mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the meeting, issues of intensification of cooperation in the transport sphere and effective utilisation of transport-transit potential of Turkmenistan, which is at the crossroads of routes of the East-West and North-South, were also considered.

Our country located along the legendary Great Silk road, consistently expands routes not only via overland means of transport, but also via air. So, flights on the route Ashgabat-Dubai-Ashgabat were adjusted. And from tomorrow flights to Abu-Dhabi will be resumed and it testifies to the bringing out interstate relations to a new level.

As was marked, thanks to constructive initiatives of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, investment partnership of Turkmenistan with foreign countries also finds more substantial significance. Fruitful contacts with various banks of the world were established. In particular, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan successfully carries out reforms, closely co-operating with big banks of the United Arab Emirates.

Having underlined importance of steady deepening of multidimensional mutual relations with the United Arab Emirates, Hero-Arkadag instructed relevant officials to hold under constant control measures taken in the given area.

In the second half of the day, in the Al Shatie Palace, the meeting of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took place.

Having warmly greeted the honoured guest, the President of the United Arab Emirates with satisfaction noted a fruitful character of the long-term interstate interaction, which possesses a high potential for further diversification in all areas and taking an opportunity, expressed his gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for his support and attention to issues of an all-around development of time-honoured relations.

Having thanked the head of the friendly country for warm reception and hospitality, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan conveyed warm words of greeting and kind wishes from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov who with special warmth remembers his working visit to the United Arab Emirates in December of the past year.

Having expressed confidence that the present visit will promote further development of close, confidential and mutually beneficial relations between our peoples, Hero-Arkadag congratulated Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the success of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28) in Dubai.

Underlining an effective character of the established Turkmen-Emirates cooperation on bilateral and multilateral bases, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his support to all initiatives put forward by our country aimed at sustainable development and general progress.

During the meeting, which was held in the warm and friendly atmosphere, interlocutors confirmed mutual intention of the parties to give special attention to further development of the traditional dialogue in interests of two countries and their fraternal peoples.

In the general opinion, the Joint Committee for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates plays an important role in intensification of bilateral interaction.

Perspective vectors of development of Turkmen-Emirates economic cooperation were outlined.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan noted successful partnership with financial institutions of the United Arab Emirates as well as in such spheres as energy, transport and communications, industry, agriculture and high technologies.

Having made new concrete initiatives on development of interaction in most perspective areas, Arkadag expressed hope that they will find a complete support with the Emirates’ side for their prompt practical realisation.

A special emphasis was made on importance of consolidation of adjusted interstate relations in the area of science, culture and sports.

Corresponding agreements were reached after the analysis of earlier concluded agreements.

At the end of the meeting, Arkadag invited Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Turkmenistan during the time convenient for him.

Warmly saying goodbye to each other, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the United Arab Emirates expressed confidence in further successful continuation of adjusted productive interstate dialogue and wished peoples of two countries happiness, peace and well-being.
