Today, a State concert dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the country’s independence was held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Centre. Stage masters and young pop soloists, famous folklore and dance ensembles, the State Choir, and children's creative groups took part in the festive celebration.

...The high spiritual uplift and emotional mood that reigns today under the majestic arches of the Mukams Palace increases the sense of pride of the Turkmen people for the happy era of the sovereign Motherland. The day before, a regular meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held in the capital, marked by decisions that opened up opportunities for the country’s progressive movement towards new frontiers.

As you know, not a single festive event in our country is complete without performances by masters of art, song, music and folklore groups, adding bright colours to significant events in the life of the Turkmen state. And today, in honour of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan, the living heritage of national culture - the tradition of welcoming the nation with inspired songs and music - continued on the stage of the Mukams Palace, in the huge hall of which numerous spectators gathered.

Among them are members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, military and law enforcement agencies, public organizations, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, honourary elders, representatives of ministries and departments, scientific and creative intelligentsia, universities and the media, and students. Among the guests of honour are our compatriots from abroad - participants in the XXIV Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, as well as numerous foreign guests who arrived in Ashgabat on the occasion of the festive celebrations.

The concert program was distinguished by a variety of genres and premiere numbers, reflecting the rich potential and continuity of the traditions of national art.

Also, popular creative groups of the country, famous folk singers, opera performers and rising stars of the Turkmen stage - winners of creative shows held as part of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» award, famous dance ensembles and folklore groups demonstrated their skills.

For the artists, participation in the State Concert on such a significant day was the highest degree of recognition of their skills. The warmth of their hearts, sincerity and talent that they gave to the audience found a warm response in the hall, and the use of modern audiovisual technologies gave the festive event a special brightness.

The performances of folklore groups, as well as folklore and dance groups from all velayats, who performed kushtdepdi - an ancient dance filled with the creative energy of creativity, symbolically emphasizing the inextricable spiritual connection of times and generations, brought a special flavour to the concert program.

The powerful final chord of the celebration was the song «Gutly bolsun garaşsyzlyk baýramy!» performed by all participants in the festive action.

The audience greeted this song with a standing ovation, which demonstrated how great the people’s pride is in our beloved Fatherland, striving forward along the path of peace, progress and creation.
