Today, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a meeting with Matsushita Shinpei, Chairman of the secretariat of the Interparliamentary Japan-Turkmenistan Friendship Group.
Warmly welcoming the guest, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova stated the consistently increasing role of parliamentarians in public life. Today, inter-parliamentary cooperation is one of the most important tools for maintaining a productive dialogue between countries, strengthening effective international partnership and mutual understanding.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, the Chairman of the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Japan-Turkmenistan Friendship Group noted with satisfaction the constructive nature of Japanese-Turkmen relations, the dynamic development of which is facilitated by productive interparliamentary interaction.
It was noted that the established strong legislative base of the Turkmen state has absorbed the best world experience in this field. Laws and regulations are being developed and adopted, which give a stable dynamic to innovative reforms aimed at successfully solving the tasks of the era of the Revival of the new era of the powerful state.
The meeting considered the issues of enhancing the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking, wide use of the existing potential of inter-parliamentary relations.
Expressing admiration for modern Turkmenistan, the Chairman of the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Japanese-Turkmen Friendship Group noted that he was honored to become a participant in the grand opening of the unique city of Arkadag. Stressing that this significant event will be inscribed in golden letters in the annals of the country’s history, the guest took the opportunity to convey his best wishes and congratulations to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan on the successful implementation of this grandiose urban development project.
In conclusion, the parties expressed confidence that the current meeting will be a significant contribution to the further strengthening of the traditionally friendly dialogue between the two countries and peoples.
