Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to consider issues related to development of the country’s regions, as well as the dynamics of agricultural campaigns.

The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the pace of seasonal campaigns in the fields.

As was reported, grain harvest is in full swing these days, the relevant institutions are working smoothly, and plowing is under way in the lands vacated from wheat.

Treatment of cotton sown fields continues, in particular, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation.

Guided by the objectives set by the head of state to sufficiently supply the domestic market with agricultural products, measures are taken in the region to gather potatoes and other crops without loss.

The khyakim informed about the preparations for the celebration of Kurban Bairam, as well as the construction pace of social and industrial infrastructure facilities as part of the National Rural Program, scheduled for commissioning this year.

Having heard the report, and focusing on the importance of the optimal conduct of seasonal field campaigns within the specified time frame, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the governor of the region specific instructions.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atakhallyev reported on the state of seasonal field works.

As was reported, steps are currently taken to successfully complete the wheat harvest, in particular, to ensure the efficient operation of combine harvesters and vehicles for the uninterrupted delivery of the harvested crop to collection points. Plowing of land is carried out in the fields vacated from wheat, and they are prepared for the new sowing season.

As was specified, cotton care continues these days, including seedling irrigation, inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and weeding, as well as gathering potatoes and other crops, and measures are taken to maintain food abundance in the domestic market.

The report included information on preparations for the celebration of Kurban Bairam, as well as on the construction pace of social and industrial facilities under the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that seasonal agricultural campaigns must be completed in accordance with the requirements set and according to schedule, instructing the khyakim to keep the progress of work under strict control.

Further, the Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, the wheat harvest is currently in progress, while agricultural machinery is effectively operated. Plowing began in the lands vacated from wheat.

Treatment operations are carried out in the cotton sown fields in accordance with the agro-technical requirements such as inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation.

Along with this, in order to ensure food abundance in the country’s markets, measures are taken to gather potatoes, onions and other crops in full. In addition, irrigation is ongoing in the rice fields of the region these days.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the need for timely and proper completion of seasonal work in the fields, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep them under control.

Then Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiev reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

Treatment operations are under way in the areas sown to cotton, taking into account the agro-technical requirements, in particular, inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation. Along with this, the loss-free gathering of ripened potatoes, onions and other agricultural crops is ensured, which are supplied to domestic consumers. Sowing of rice has been completed in the region, and seedlings are irrigated in compliance with the agro-technical requirements.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim D. Annaberdiev reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.

In addition, the gathering of potatoes, onions and other crops continues in the velayat, efforts are made to deliver them to sales outlets. Sugar beet sowing is under way in an organized manner.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of a responsible approach to conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns, instructing the khyakim to ensure the smooth and coordinated work of all participating institutions.

Then, Deputy Prime Minister A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported on the agro-technical activities under way in the fields of the country.

As was reported, these days, crops are cared for and wheat is harvested in the farmlands of the regions, plowing and preparing for the sowing season are carried out in the lands vacated from wheat.

Along with this, treatment of cotton sown fields is carried out in strict accordance with the agro-technical requirements, in particular, application of mineral fertilizers, irrigation, inter-row cultivation, and thinning.

Guided by the objectives set by the head of state to provide the country’s population with agricultural products in full, fruit and vegetable crops are harvested in the velayats at a high pace. Measures are taken to deliver them to the markets immediately.

Along with this, rice crops are irrigated and fed with mineral fertilizers in the Dashoguz and Lebap Velayats, and sugar beets are sown in the Mary Velayat according to the plans.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing that now a busy and responsible time has come for the rural workers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime minister to control all agricultural campaigns in the country, including the uninterrupted and coordinated work of institutions participating in the grain harvesting campaign, as well as timely and proper plowing of the lands vacated from wheat, and caring for cotton in compliance with agro-technical standards.

Then, addressing the working meeting participants, the head of state stressed the need to take all measures for the organized completion of the campaigns launched in the fields. Relevant instructions were given in this regard.

During the working meeting, Deputy Prime Minister A. Yazmyradov congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the country’s agro-industrial complex workers, on the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as the Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy and on the holy Kurban Bairam.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health and great success in their large-scale work for the prosperity of the sovereign Homeland and the people’s wellbeing.
