On a special flight organized in accordance with the Order of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov by the Türkmenhowaýollary agency of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, the first group of Turkmen pilgrims flew to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj to Mecca and Medina.

On the eve of one of the main Muslim holidays - Kurban Bayram - our compatriots representing five velayats and the capital of the country will join the millions of pilgrims from all over the world who arrive on these blessed days in Mecca and Medina to perform the rites of worshiping the sacred Kaaba and other traditional rituals.

The pilgrims visited the Khezreti Omar mosque, located on the territory of the capital's residential complex Parahat-7. While visiting the mosque, the pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Serdar for creating the necessary conditions for the Hajj to Mecca and Medina, which are considered sacred in the Islamic world.

The holiday of Eid al-Adha is the personification of the continuity of the connection between times and generations, fidelity to the precepts of glorious ancestors. Representatives of the clergy and pilgrims emphasized that the revival and preservation of the primordial traditions and customs of the Turkmen people as an integral part of the richest national historical and cultural heritage are of great importance in the education of the younger generation.

From the Hezreti Omar mosque, a group of pilgrims went to the International Airport of the capital.

Pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina is one of the most ancient and sacred traditions, calling for the achievement of spiritual and moral purity and humanistic ideals of mankind. Today, this tradition, permeated with national customs and beliefs, symbolizes the peaceful life of the native people, the aspiration of Turkmenistan to the heights of progress, illuminates life with light, inspires us to achieve new frontiers, further strengthening our unity and solidarity.

Following the noble tradition enriched by the spirit of the present time, inherited from valiant ancestors who made a significant contribution to the formation of universal values, at present our compatriots have every opportunity to fulfill their cherished dream - to make a pilgrimage to the holy land.

During the Hajj and performing sacred rituals, they will offer prayers to the Almighty for the prosperity of their native people and the Fatherland, for the success of the grandiose transformations carried out under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the era of the Revival of the new era of a powerful state.
