Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of velayats to consider issues of regional development, and the progress of seasonal agricultural work.

First, the floor was given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

The report included information that cotton fields’ treatment is in progress these days, in accordance with agro-technical standards, in particular, irrigation, thinning, inter-row cultivation and weeding.

At the same time, wheat care continues. In order to organize the grain harvest, active preparation of equipment, collection points and vehicles is underway.

Guided by the instructions given earlier by the head of state to grow bountiful harvest, potatoes, onions and other crops are cared for in accordance with agro-technical standards, and steps are taken to gather the grown crop without loss. The plan for silkworm cocoons production has been successfully fulfilled.

The khyakim informed about the preparations for the organized holding of the “Last Bell” ceremony, as well as the progress in the construction of various facilities under the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the need to carry out seasonal field work in a high quality and timely manner.

The head of state ordered to take measures to speed up the care for wheat and cotton, as well as to prepare for an organized grain harvest.

The President of the country instructed the governor of the region to ensure the high quality of construction of social and industrial facilities ongoing as part of the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year. Particular emphasis was placed on preparations for the organized holding of the “Last Bell” ceremony.

Then, Balkan Velayat Khyakim T.Atahallyev reported on the state of affairs in the region.

The report inclided information that cotton is cared for these days, the first seedlings have been irrigated, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding are under way.

Appropriate measures are taken in the velayat to prepare agricultural machinery, collection points and vehicles for transporting grain for the upcoming harvest.

The khyakim reported on the preparations for the celebrations on the occasion of the “Last Bell” ceremony, as well as on the construction progress of social and industrial facilities as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that all seasonal field campaigns must be conducted within agro-technical terms and with high quality, ordering to increase the pace of work on caring for cotton and preparing for wheat harvesting.

The head of state instructed the khyakim to ensure high quality of construction of social and industrial facilities within the time scheduled under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, to be commissioned this year, as well as to ensure the organized holding of the “Last Bell” ceremony.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued by the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, at present, cotton fields’ treatment is under way in strict compliance with agro-technical standards, in particular, thinning, inter-row cultivation, weeding and applying mineral fertilizers.

Wheat care and watering is carried out according to schedule. At the same time, preparations of collection points are in progress, which are completed with the necessary equipment, and measures are taken to organize the transportation and storage of wheat.

In addition, guided by the objectives set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to grow bountiful harvest, care for potatoes, onions and other crops continues in accordance with the agro-technical requirements. Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov informed about the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayats.

The report was given that currently cotton fields’ treatment is in progress according to agro-technical standards, in particular, vegetative irrigation, inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding and applying mineral fertilizers.

Campaigns in wheat fields are in the final stage. As part of preparation for the wheat harvest, grain collection points are completed with the necessary equipment, including fire extinguishers in order to ensure fire and technical safety. Organized training courses are conducted for combine operators.

Guided by the objectives set by the head of state, measures are taken to increase the agricultural production, supply the population with agricultural outputs in abundance, and everything necessary is done to gather potatoes and other fruits and vegetables, and deliver the harvest to the destination points. Work continues on producing cocoons.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of an integrated approach to high-quality completion of seasonal agricultural campaigns, instructing the deputy prime minister to accelerate the pace of cotton care and control the preparations for the wheat harvest campaign.

Addressing the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the hyakims of velayats, the President of the country drew attention to the importance of the agricultural work ongoing these days, and gave instructions on strict compliance with agro-technical standards.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov then sincerely congratulated the head of state on declaring November 26 the World Sustainable Transport Day on the initiative of Turkmenistan in accordance with the decision of the UN General Assembly. This is a striking illustration of the fact that the international initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, and Arkadag Serdar are widely supported by the world community.

Addressing the working meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that good news had recently been received from the United Nations headquarters in New York. On May 16, during the 70th plenary session of the 77th session of the General Assembly, the relevant Resolution was adopted on the initiative of Turkmenistan and with the unanimous support of the UN member states.

As is known, on November 26, 2016, the first UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport was held in Ashgabat on the initiative of Turkmenistan. Therefore, the choice of the date of the Day of World Sustainable Transport is deeply symbolic. It would be celebrated every year on November 26. The head of state said that this is clear proof of the recognition by the United Nations of the important initiatives of world importance put forward by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Noting that the adoption of this Resolution by the UN General Assembly is another confirmation of the growing international prestige of our Independent Neutral Homeland, the President of the country cordially congratulated the meeting participants and all the Turkmen people on this event.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family wellbeing and great success in large-scale activities for the prosperity of the Homeland and wellbeing of their people.
