The sixth session of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan of the first convocation was held today to approve the laws, adopted on May 4 during the eighteenth session of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh.
These regulatory documents have been developed in accordance with the priorities of the socially-oriented policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and a comprehensive program to modernize the legislative and legal framework of the state.
Representatives of the mass media were invited to participate in the session.
During the session, the Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, as well as the heads of the committees reported about the results on the basis of which there were carried out analyses for each of the legislative documents. Among them are the Laws: “On amendments and additions to the Code of Turkmenistan on administrative offenses”, “On amendments and additions to the Civil Procedure Code of Turkmenistan”, “On amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan “On Road Safety”, “On amendments and amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Turkmenistan”, “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Turkmenistan”, “On amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan “On Customs Service” and “On amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan “On Plant Quarantine”.
The speakers noted that these laws were developed in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, as well as generally recognized norms and principles of international law.
During the discussion of the documents, it was emphasized their importance in the successful implementation of the Program “Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State: The National Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052”. In this regard, the members of the Halk Maslakhaty noted that the measures taken to modernize the national regulatory framework are entirely aimed at the effective implementation of the socially-oriented course pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The human dimension is the main criterion of the nature of the internal reforms of the Turkmen society and its foreign policy course, it is the priority of universal values, the highest ideals of humanism and justice that form the basis of the policy of neutral Turkmenistan in the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, the speakers noted.
It was stated that the adoption of these legislative documents is of great importance for further ensuring the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens of the country, ensuring law and order, prophylaxis and prevention of offenses, improving the norms of creativity in accordance with the requirements of the modern epoch, as well as for expanding legal opportunities to improve the activities of specialized areas, including the introduction of a digital system.
Other topical issues were also considered during the session.
The laws submitted to the sixth session of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of the first convocation received unanimous approval and found consolidation in the appropriate Resolutions.
