Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Mary velayat.

From the capital’s International Airport, the airliner of the nation’s leader headed towards Mary velayat.

During the flight, the head of state got acquainted with the content of printed publications issued in the country. In the first days of 2022 – the year of the tiger according to the Eastern calendar – labor productivity is increasing in various sectors of the national economy, so that every moment of the coming year will be marked by new great successes in all spheres.

On the pages of periodicals there are articles widely covering the socio-economic growth of the country, and the efforts made by the people to achieve the great goals set. As noted in the publications, the population of the country is working productively in order to achieve important victories in the year held under the symbolic motto “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”.

Also during the flight, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, calling by phone, assigned the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M.Chakyev is constantly focused on issues related to the improvement of the activities of the Türkmenhowaýollary Agency, the introduction of international best practices into its work.

After a while, the plane of the head of state landed at Mary International Airport, where the leader of the nation was met by officials.

The rain that started at that time was a good sign, promising the success of the current working trip of the head of state and all the initiatives planned for this year.

From the air harbor of the administrative center of Mary velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov flew by helicopter towards the largest gas field – Galkynyş, which has impressive reserves of natural gas.

From the helicopter’s flight altitude, the President of the country looked at the steppes stretching to the horizon. The picturesque landscapes and the unique nature of Karakum, where life-giving winter precipitation has fallen, have a beneficial effect.

Along the route, the head of state inspected agricultural lands. In the fields where seasonal agricultural work continues in the first days of the new year, green shoots are already visible, personifying prosperity and abundance. The rain promotes the growth of plants, being the key to a good harvest.

At the same time, towers rising on the steppe expanses indicate that every corner of the Turkmen land has natural resources. The deployment of mineral resources and the processing of minerals for the benefit of the country’s economic growth is one of the priorities of the state policy of the nation’s leader.

In the course of getting acquainted with the work being carried out here, the head of state went to the administrative building, where the nation’s leader was presented with drawings and diagrams with detailed information about the promising deposits identified according to the calculations of specialists in this region, as well as about the ways of their development.

As can be seen in the diagrams, Turkmenistan, recognized as one of the world’s energy powers, uses the most advanced technologies to solve problems related to the efficient use of the richest hydrocarbon resources, the implementation of large-scale projects in this area without harm to the environment, as well as the production of environmentally friendly energy.

The director of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the Turkmengaz State Concern reported to the nation’s leader on the work done to study the rich reserves of hydrocarbon resources, the development of advanced practices of modern science to increase the volume of their processing. It was also reported about the training of specialists in this field, their research work in accordance with the requirements of the time.

Then the chairman of the Turkmengeologiýa State Corporation reported on geological exploration works carried out in different parts of the country, their features, scientific experiments carried out in this field. As noted, the discovery of rich hydrocarbon deposits requires a scientific approach.

The Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern reported on the investments directed to the development of the industry and the comprehensive work carried out to improve its efficiency. As noted earlier, the emphasis is on increasing the volume of natural gas production, as well as on diversifying its transportation. 

Then Cabinet Deputy Chairman Sh.Abdrakhmanov, who supervises the fuel and energy complex, reported on the current state of affairs in the industry, the steps taken to increase its export potential, as well as the drilling of new oil and gas wells.

As noted, the work of the fuel and energy complex, which is one of the key sectors of the economy, is constantly being improved, advanced world experience and innovative technologies are being actively introduced. It promotes the development and steady increase in the production capacity of the complex, including the processing industry.

The head of state got acquainted with the drawings presented, and the progress of solving issues related to the development of gas fields. As it was emphasized, the use of the country’s natural resources in industry will promote the prosperity of our sovereign state, strengthen the national economy, and steadily improve the standard of living of the people. At the same time, investment projects implemented in the fuel and energy sector facilitate the further development of mutually beneficial international cooperation.

Continuing the conversation about this, the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the Günorta Mary site, which is considered very promising. Thus, as in various parts of the country, in this region, drilling operations on gas wells should be approached innovatively, which is the main condition for the efficient use of natural gas resources.

In this regard, we are developing the Galkynyş gas field, the total reserves of which, together with the Elaşlar and Garaköl fields, are estimated at 27.4 trillion cubic meters, on a phased basis through specific projects focused on the long term, the head of state continued. At the same time, other gas fields of the country are being thoroughly developed.

Having focused attention on the need to intensify geological exploration and drilling operations, industrial development of new oil and gas fields, the head of state wished everyone success in fulfilling their tasks and left the venue.

During the working trip, the nation’s leader got acquainted with the state of pastures on the territory of Mary velayat and visited the local shepherd camp.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again drew attention to the splendor of Karakum, which is a unique ecosystem with a number of distinctive features. The head of state has repeatedly noted the richness and diversity of the flora and fauna of the Turkmen land, an integral part of which is the flora and fauna of the Karakum desert, which has a peculiar beauty. There are many plants with medicinal properties growing in the expanses of the Karakum. Plants also play an important role in the development of domestic animal husbandry.

Currently, the centuries-old traditions of the Turkmen people in the field of herbal medicine are being studied in detail and actively used in practice. It is no coincidence that the scientific and encyclopedic work of the head of state “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” has not only become a valuable guide for domestic doctors, but also arouses great interest among the international scientific community.

The President of the country emphasized the uniqueness and originality of the flora and fauna of Karakum, the climatic features of the desert expanses, emphasizing the need for careful attitude to the nature of the native land, improving ecological culture.

Environmental protection is a priority area of activity of our state and society, the head of state said. The natural environment is an important component of the national heritage, since the health of the population, its social and environmental well-being are closely interrelated. For centuries, the Turkmen people have lived in harmony with nature, drawing their creative inspiration from it.

Dovran Yazlyev, shepherd of the Daykhan Azatlyk Association of Yolotan etrap, cordially welcomes the head of state.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the shepherd on the New Year and in a confidential conversation asked about his daily pursuits – pressing concerns related to the wintering of sheep and the upcoming lambing campaign, the conditions created for effective work.

Noting that it is a great honor for him to meet the Arkadaga President here, the shepherd with great pride emphasized that the nation’s leader brought abundance to these expanses – the heavy rain will have a beneficial effect on the growth of field plants, which is especially important for the safe wintering of small cattle.

Then, in a confidential conversation, the shepherd again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the nation’s leader for the all-round care provided, to which animal breeders respond with conscientious work, contributing to the creation of food abundance in the country.

Expressing deep appreciation for the efforts aimed at improving the social level of the villagers, the welfare of the people, the animal breeder noted that all opportunities for fruitful work of shepherds, their comfortable life and recreation are being created in the country.

As the shepherd noted, 50 percent of the herd’s products are given to him, thereby the conditions created at the state level are aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life. In addition, his farm contains cattle, children are engaged in agriculture, in general, they live and work, enjoying life, said the shepherd, expressing once again words of sincere gratitude to the head of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen people have centuries-old traditions associated with the development of this industry. Strengthening animal husbandry and building the industry’s potential are the main directions of the strategy initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the radical reform of the country's agricultural complex. Special attention is paid to multi-vector development, scientific approaches, the introduction of innovative methods, modern farming technologies. The state renders comprehensive support to domestic producers of agricultural products. In recent years, large livestock and poultry complexes have been built and are being built in velayats, work in this direction continues.

As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invariably notes, our state will continue to provide comprehensive assistance to the development of the livestock industry and its workers, who make a worthy contribution to ensuring food abundance in the country, saturating the domestic market with high-quality and diverse meat and dairy products.
