The final of the youth competition “Star of the Year-2021” took place in the capital today, which has become one of the highlights of the New Year's program of festive events.

In the final stage of the creative marathon, which took place in several rounds, 10 young performers came out, for whom the majority of TV viewers and radio listeners voted during the preliminary selection. It was then necessary to determine the only winner of the Grand Prix of the competition, and the professionals of the music scene joined this process.

The final concert took place in a television studio, which brought together famous artists, composers, poets and other cultural figures.

The Star of the Year competition is held by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan. Its goal is to stimulate creative activity and initiative among young people, identify and support new talents, which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov calls for, seeing in the inspired young generation the happy future of the Motherland.

This year, singers, soloists of ensembles, and participants in amateur performances of various universities, as well as original talents from the countryside, have also become finalists.

Feeling all the responsibility of the moment, trying to justify the hopes of their supporters, they demonstrated all their abilities. Performing in the final of the competition on a festively decorated stage, the young vocalists did not hide their overwhelming feelings: excitement, joy, pride, gratitude.

According to the terms of the competition, the contestants performed two songs, one of them without musical accompaniment, so that the authoritative jury fully appreciated the purity and beauty of everyone's voice, the ability to manage it and establish emotional contact with the audience. The accompaniment in this case was friendly applause and the most benevolent support from the audience. Songs of different genres were performed - pop and folk, lyric and patriotic.

The musical rivalry lasted for several hours. After the performance of each performer, famous artists expressed their opinions and gave advice to young colleagues. In the meantime, the counting of votes sent by the viewers via SMS messages was going on, songs dedicated to the era of power and happiness, the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the independent Motherland were played.

And now the solemn moment comes - the announcement of the results of the competition. The winner of the creative marathon and the owner of the title “Star of the Year” was the young performer Begench Charyev, who was awarded the challenge Cup “Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy” and valuable gift.

In addition to the Grand Prix, the first, second and third places were shared among themselves, respectively, by Rustem Khallyev, Bakhar Annaeva and Bayramkhan Saparov.

The wishes of creative growth, searches and success, sounded by the recognized masters of the stage, were a good parting word to the young artists. The speakers especially noted that today young people of Turkmenistan, thanks to the active attention of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, have all the opportunities and conditions for realizing their creative potential, revealing their abilities.

Inspired by the success, the laureates of the competition assured that they would respond to such care and support from the leader of the nation with their contribution to further development of the national musical art.
