Today in the second half of the day, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left with a two-day official visit for the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Having made a flight to Tashkent, the presidential airliner landed at the International airport named after Islam Karimov. National flags of the two friendly countries decorated the air harbour of the Uzbek capital on this significant occasion.
Along the carpet path, soldiers of the Guard of honour were lined.
At the boarding stairs of the plane, President of the Republic Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as well as members of the governmental delegation of Turkmenistan welcomed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warmly and hospitably.
According to the established noble tradition of hospitality, children in national costumes met the honoured guest.
Then the motorcade of Turkmen and Uzbek leaders from the airport headed towards the Monument of Independence and Humanism located on the Square of Independence.
The monument symbolising statehood, sovereignty and aspiration of Uzbek people to prosperity, is one of the main sights of modern Tashkent.
On the massive granite cenotaph, a globe with an engraved contour of Uzbekistan towers. Before the pedestal one more monument «Happy mother» - a female sculpture holding on her hands a child stands. This deeply substantial image testifies to succession of generations, solicitous attitude to centuries-old national traditions and cultural wealth, which nowadays provide unity and consolidation of Uzbek people.

Tomorrow - on October 5- the Turkmen-Uzbek summit talks in which course Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will outline approaches of the parties to the further formulation of mutually beneficial cooperation, will take place, to create possibilities for the fullest realisation of available potential.
Today Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are uniform in their aspiration to assist positive development of regional processes, strengthening of all-round relations between the states of Central Asia, establishment of stable peace, stability and security, promoting general progress and prosperity in the region.
As known, adjustment of close, full-scale interaction with the closest neighbouring states was and remains the major priority of the foreign policy doctrine of Turkmenistan, successfully following the course of a constructive international dialogue in general interests.
Thus, the present official visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan urged to become a major landmark in the history of the centuries-old Turkmen -Uzbek relations based on age-old, indestructible traditions of friendship and good neighbourhood.
The Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum held today in Tashkent in the capital Yashnabad Innovation Technopark- a huge modern complex where innovative projects are carried out, became a business prologue to the bilateral top-level talks planned for tomorrow, scientific developments and researches in the most different areas.
Cars and the agricultural machinery, which have already well proved themselves in the soil-environmental conditions of Turkmenistan and are made in Uzbekistan, displayed on the outdoor platform were shown to members of the delegation of our country. In the building, a wide assortment of production of Uzbek manufacturers using a great consumer demand in the country and abroad was also presented.
Special video clips on successes and achievements of key economic branches of Turkmen economy, priorities of strategy of construction realised by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov prospering and advanced in every respect of the state with strong economy and steadily growing well-being of people were shown to the Uzbek party.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan widely was displayed as well. As known, in the economic strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the national private sector is assigned a part as one of the backbone factors in national economy industrialisation, manufacture export-focused and import replacing production.
The state renders big, effective support to the private businessmen, involving representatives of small and medium business in formation of innovative economy that directly promotes increase of competitiveness of Turkmen goods in the internal and external markets.
Today members of UIET take an active part in realisation of large-scale town-planning projects, putting into practice advanced solutions. As an example for it, one can cite construction of new projects of different designations an integral component of which are high innovative technologies and know-how, steadily expanding borders of white marble coated Ashkhabad and also Avaza national tourist zone and other regions of the country.
On the sidelines of the forum, members of delegations of both countries marked a number of concrete steps on cooperation diversification on the most perspective directions. As was underlined, a key vector of joint work was and remains to be an establishment of direct relations between business circles of two countries, expansion and deepening of industrial cooperation, creation of joint ventures, active exchange of experience in use of the latest technological solutions and creation of innovative economy that should be promoted directly by organization of business forums, economic exhibitions, business meetings and negotiations on a regular basis.
The signing of 13 bilateral documents, including those on realisation of export-import transactions for a total sum about 13,5 million US dollars became an evidence of invariable adherence of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighbourhood, mutual interest in steady expansion and deepening of established mutually beneficial cooperation.
Participants of the Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum expressed confidence that all reached arrangements will give a new impulse to development of multi-faceted dialogue in interests of both states and their fraternal people.
On completion of the forum a number of bilateral meetings with participation of heads of separate ministries and departments, representatives of state and private structures took place.
