Today, in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the UN Secretary General's Special Representative, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia German, who is taking part in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Central Asian region.
One of the main topics of discussion was the agenda of the high-level meeting, at which specific joint steps to further develop multilateral cooperation, strengthen stability and security in the region, as well as possible ways to resolve emerging issues with the involvement of the experience and capabilities of authoritative international structures will be considered, including specialized agencies of the United Nations.
Noting that the next consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia is a visible confirmation of the readiness of the states of the region to solve all problems together and in close partnership with interested world structures, the interlocutors expressed confidence that the consolidation of joint efforts and the development of agreed approaches to building political, diplomatic, trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian dialogue will give the regional partnership new impulses for development.
At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the head of UNRCCA expressed mutual interest in continuing the established productive interaction in the name of achieving a common goal - sustainable development of the Central Asian region.
