In line with the programme of the Week of Culture, the participants of the cultural event had an opportunity to visit the unique archaeological sites located in the Dashoguz Velayat, some of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The participants in the cultural forum visited the ancient city of Zamakhshar, located on the territory of the current Gorogly etrap, the homeland of the outstanding Turkmen scientist -encyclopedist, philosopher, theologian, philologist and writer of the 11th – 12th centuries Maḥmud Zamakhshari , whose works had a significant impact on the development of world science, and his mausoleum became a pilgrimage site not only for Turkmen citizens, but also for foreign guests. A colorful musical festival was arranged on the square located on the shore of the Yashlar Lake with the participation of students of the Dashoguz Velayat Art schools. Thematic exhibitions of works by students of Dashoguz and Dashoguz Etrap children's art schools were showcased there. Young performers pleased the guests with choreographic and folklore performances. A meeting devoted to the development of cinematography took place at the modern rural House of Culture in the “Altyn ýol” Geneslik of the etrap named after S. A. Niyazov. The premiere screening of the film “Beýik ýüpek ýoly” based on the book by the President of Turkmenistan “Turkmenistan is the Heart of the Great Silk Road” took place in frames of the meeting. In the evening, the festivities continued in the central part of Dashoguz, on Magtymguly Square. A literary evening was arranged at the monument to the great Turkmen poet. The programme of the second day of the Week of Culture was completed by the concert of masters of culture and arts.
