Last week, the capital’s “Sergi Köşgi” Expo Center hosted the X specialized exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The economic forum, which is regularly held in Ashgabat, showcased the existing enormous potential of the Turkmen–Iranian cooperation and mutual interests of partners in advancing and deepening the trade-economic relations in a wide spectrum of areas. It is indicative that over 120 leading large consortiums and private companies from different industrial centers of Iran presented their proposals, industrial developments and services at the regular exhibition, having significantly expanded the ‘geography’ of exponents - manufacturers of the most modern machinery and equipment, building materials and chemical products, metalwork, vehicles and household appliances, textiles, food products and many others, which meet high demand of the Turkmen market. As before, long-term and reliable partners, who have great positive experience of interaction with our country in such priority areas as the road-transport and oil-and-gas industries, construction, the power industry, the water-economy and agro-industrial complexes were among active participants in presentations held in the frames of the exhibition. Numerous stands with models of machinery and tools, high-tonnage weighing equipment, tubular products made of metal, polypropylene and glass, samples of different-purpose insulating and decorative coatings, electrical appliances and accessories were side by side with an exposition of household goods – bedroom furniture, suites of furniture, handmade and machine-made carpets of amazing colors, bedspreads, tablecloths and shawls, various cardboard tubular and metal containers for foodstuffs, bottles for household chemicals and engine oil. The rows of Iranian biscuits and sweets, dry fruit, canned vegetable products, juices and beverages attracted visitors with their bright advertising packing. Original arts and crafts products of the Iranian people and souvenirs added national color to the exhibition. In the frames of the three-day exhibition, numerous meetings and talks were held at the Expo Center between Turkmen and Iranian producers, economists, marketing specialists and businessmen in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and colleagues from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Turkmen-Iranian Business Forum, organized during the exhibition, also demonstrated willingness of Iran’s business circles to broaden the trade-economic relations with our country.
