The city of Turkmenabat has hosted a ceremony of opening two 4-story apartment buildings (for 24 families each), located at the intersection of Bitarap Turkmenistan and Ashgabat Streets.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan to the PRC made the presentation of the first Caspian economic forum, the Concept of the chairing of Turkmenistan in the CIS and the IFAS as well as the event on occasion of International Nowruz Day in the China University of Petroleum Beijing on March 18. More than 300 people including professors and tutors, Chinese and Turkmen students as well as public and mass media representatives took part in the event organized with the support of the directorate of the University.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the delegation of the representatives of the State Financial Institute and the State Institute for Economics and Management visited China to study experience.

Gala concert of the art masters of the country was held in honour of International Women Day in the celebration hall of the Trade and Industrial Chamber.

The Public Organizations Center has hosted a festivity to mark International Women’s Day. An award ceremony took place during the event for mothers of eight and more children, who were given the honorary title ‘Ene Mähri’ in accordance with a Presidential Decree. Today, mothers of many children were also presented keys to comfortable flats.

A chance to look to the future of Turkmen urban construction, to creative laboratory of project planners and designers, where new ideas take visual shapes, is presented by the publication of Construction and Architecture magazine.

Another phase of election campaign – the registration of the candidates to the deputies of the Mejlis, members of the People’s Council and Gengeshys instead of those who resigned, has been completed on March 5. The first two phases – the nomination and registration, which were held in strict compliance with existing legislation of the country and international standards, became to base for organization of true democratic elections.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Olympic village where he inspected the conditions made for training of Turkmen sportsmen to big international competitions, the Head of the State has also visited the horses in the Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, having spent some time with horses.

Three high-rise apartment buildings have celebrated their grand opening in the residential neighborhood, Parakhat-7/3, in the south of the capital. Among those attending the ceremony were representatives of the municipal administration, public organizations, and elders. Performances by performing groups brightened the event and added to a festive atmosphere.
