Avaza National tourist zone will host Children cultural and sport festival of Caspian States. School student teams from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Russian Federation will compete in six sports. These are mini football, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, chess and belt wrestling. The competitions will be held in Avaza Sport complex.

Four-storey children hospital started operating in Mary. It will serve little patients from entire Mary Velayat. The main purpose of medical centre, which has been opened prior the Day of Health Protection and Medical Industry Personnel, is to prevent and treat the diseases by innovative methods. The hospital has advanced equipment and entirely meets international standards.

The opening ceremonies of aquapark were held in the evening in Avaza National tourist zone. The project is accomplished by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, which makes big contribution to the development of national tourist zone.

Awaza health resort was commissioned in the city of Turkmenbashi. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by Turkmenistan’s senior government officials, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and other dignitaries.

A two-day meeting on the Regional Nutrition Partnership Platform for Central Asia and Caucasus has begun in Ashgabat as part of the Health-2018 International Exhibition and Conference. The Regional Platform aims to develop potential and strengthen partnership in this field.
