Sheikh Faisal bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Sheikh family of the Qatar State sent a letter to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the occasion of Holiday of the Turkmen Horse. On May 1, the sixth meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the ""Central Asia + Japan"" Dialogue will be held in Ashgabat, which is an effective instrument of constructive multilateral partnership. From 2014 until now, Turkmenistan has been chairing this structure.

On behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdyeva has accepted credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan Peter Santo.

In the message addressed to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on behalf of the Asian Weightlifting Federation an appreciation is expressed for the excellent organization of the 2017 Asian Weightlifting Championship in Ashgabat, which, as the letter reads, had surpassed all expectations, proving that Turkmenistan has great opportunities for hosting the world-level sporting events.

For the significant contribution in the development of equestrian sports in Turkmenistan, the Head of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) Ingmar De Vos awarded the FEI Cup and Medal to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In the framework of the VII session of the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association, Regional Director of the International Office of Epizootics (IOE) for Central Asia Kazimiras Lukauskas awarded the certificate on the establishment of the Equine disease free zone (EDFZ) in Turkmenistan to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In particular, the honorary title was awarded to President of the Spanish Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association Blanca de Toledo Loma Osorio, President of the Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association in France Héloïse Anémone Flavia Girardi and a horse breeder from Uzbekistan Bakturdy Ibadullayev.

Congratulating the forum participants on the Turkmen Horse Day, the Turkmen leader noted that the International Ahalteke Horse Breeding Association currently united 137 members from 32 countries.

The Oguzkent hotel of the capital holds VII session of International Ahalteke Horse Association chaired by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
