President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of India, Ram Nath Kovind.

Reporting during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov informed that the Resolution ""Strengthening the links between all modes of transport to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals"", which was initiatiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was adopted in the framework of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in New York on December 20, 2017.

By Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Kakayev, Yagshygeldi Elyasovich, has been appointed Oil and Gas Advisor to the Head of State.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations at the New Year tree, having shared the joy of coming holiday with the children as well as in the opening ceremony of Vepaly sculpture in the Olympic village.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the representative delegation of the United Arab Emirates, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Minister of Energy of the UAE Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazroui, Minister of Infrastructure Development of the UAE Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi and Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi took part in the meeting.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session in video conference format with the participation of the hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat city where the issues of social and economic development of the country, situation in the agriculture as well as preparation to coming celebration events were reviewed.

Work of the State Commission on Ensuring Food Security has been discussed at the session of the Government of Turkmenistan.

The national system of accounting and financial reporting will be brought into compliance with the current international standards. To this end, during 2018 it is planned to conduct preparatory activities, including the development of guidelines, the introduction of software and organization of seminars with the participation of experts from leading financial institutions.

According to the Law of Turkmenistan on Copyrights and Neighbouring Rights, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having approved the Regulation on Tax Collection for the procedures of the registration of the copyrights, List of such procedures as well as fees of the collection.
