After completion of the opening ceremony of the complex of buildings of one of frontier outposts in Balkan Velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to training ground where the first joint performance of special forces units of military and law enforcement agencies took place.

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of new complex of buildings of one of frontier outposts of the State Border Guard Service.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for Balkan Velayat on working visit aimed at the inspection of realization of national programmes in the western region.

During his visit to construction site of fashionable Garagum Hotel, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that nearby secondary school No. 21is located in old building and gave instructions to the head of the capital administration to build new school facilities meeting the requirements of educational system of Turkmenistan, which is entering international level these days.

The President of Turkmenistan inspected the situation in urban construction works in Ashgabat. Turkmen leader was met by Hyakim of Ashgabat at the intersection of Atamurat Niyazov and Hoja Ahmet Yasavi streets where fashionable Garagum hotel would be built according to the Resolution of the Head of the State.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having permitted the Hyakimlik of Ashgabat to sign the contract with Turkish «Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.» on project design and construction of multifunctional hotel with business centre “Garagum” at the intersection of A. Niyzov Avenue and Hoja Ahmet Yasavi street with the beautification of adjoining territory.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan where priority objectives of the state life have been reviewed.

President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council. The agenda focused on the results of work of military and law-enforcement agencies in January – July, 2018 and near-term prospects.

According to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the following officials have been reprimanded for improper fulfilment of their duties and failure to fulfil the objectives on tax collection to local budgets:

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent his deep condolences to President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in relation with the earthquake on Lombok Island, which caused human victims, injuries and big destructions.
