Representatives of foreign countries, international organizations and major transport and logistics companies were brought together in Turkmenbashi at the International Forum “The Great Silk Road: Towards New Frontiers of Development”.

Under the work trip to Balkan Velayat, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held offsite session of the Cabinet of Ministers where the fulfilment of the programme of the President and priority aspects of economic and social development of Balkan Velayat as well as topical issues of home policy of the state have been reviewed.

The Head of the State was met by the officials at Turkmenbashy International Airport. Honoured elders presented the bread and salt. The elders expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for permanent care of the improvement of the wellbeing and life level of Turkmenistan citizens and wished him strong health and new successes in his activity for the sake of the country as well as congratulated the Head of the State on coming opening of International Seaport in Turkmenbashy.

The Hero of Turkmenistan, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, hailed as the Turkmen opera legend who created a plethora of magnificent characters on stage and won genuine love, recognition and respect of our people, singer Maya Kuliyeva died on 27 April 2018 at the age od 98.

Number of festive events on occasion of National Ahalteke Horse Celebration finished up at International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the United Nations Deputy Secretary General, Chairman of the UN Counterterrorist Department Vladimir Voronkov who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the events dedicated to National Turkmen Horse celebration.

During the celebrations in the International Ahalteke Equestrian Sports Complex that brought together foreign journalists, who covered the festivities on the occasion of the National Turkmen Horse Day, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov talked with the chief of the Central Asian regional branch of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, Robert Frantsev.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the greeting to horse breeders, connoisseurs and all compatriots on occasion of National Turkmen Horse Holiday.

Celebrations of National Turkmen Horse Holiday took part in Ahalteke Equestrian Complex with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It included the races of senior master jockeys, award ceremony of the winners of international ahalteke horse beauty contest and thematic contest among art professions.

For further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having approved the composition of of Joint Turkmen German Work Group from Turkmen part.
