President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received newly appointed Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Garnik Badalyan who presented the copies of his credentials. Having expressed the gratitude for spared time, the diplomat conveyed the greetings of President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkisyan who also addressed the best wishes to Turkmen people. The Ambassador highlighted that this is great honour for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, which is bound with Armenia by the relations of friendship and beneficial cooperation. Having returned warm greetings to President Armen Sarkisyan, the Head of the State congratulated the diplomat on the appointment to responsible position and wished him success in his work. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmen – Armenian dialog has constructive and steadfast character, which meets common interests. Further to the meeting, the Head of the State and his guest exchanged the visions on the future of Turkmen – Armenian cooperation, which has versatile potential including in trade and economic sphere. It was mentioned that significant legal framework covering wide range of directions serves as reliable base for activation of interstate relations. At the same time, important role is given to the activity of joint Inter-Governmental Commission, which is to support the implementation of achieved agreements and diversification of multidimensional partnership. Humanitarian sphere with great practice of fruitful cooperation is an integral part of Turkmen – Armenian relations. In this case, great attention is paid to the activation of cultural, scientific and educational relations. In the end of the meeting, the diplomat expressed the gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for warm wishes and assured that he would put all efforts for successful development of interstate dialog.
