President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in St. Petersburg on a working visit to participate in an informal summit of the CIS heads of state.

By the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova received credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Turkmenistan Girma Temesgen Barkessa.

Multilateral consultations on the development of the UN Special Programme for the countries of the Aral Sea basin took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorising the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs together with the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and the World Tennis Federation to hold the round of the Davis Cup International Tennis tournament in the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village of Ashgabat on June 8 – 15, 2020.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having approved the Regulation of the state regulation of physical persons – individual entrepreneurs, which are engaged in entrepreneurship activity without formation of legal entity.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where topical subjects of the state life have been reviewed.

Preparation to the working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Russian Federation for participation in informal meeting of the Heads of the CIS states, which is to be held on December 20, is carried out.

Two-day seminar dedicated to innovations in rational use of water and energy resources has started work in the office of the UN Reginal Centre of Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made working trip around the capital, having inspected course of works for further development of urban infrastructure, projects of different facilities as well as situation at Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway, which is under construction.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference working session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of profile departments, hyakims of the velayats and Ashgabat. The agenda included objectives of realization of reformation programmes aimed at dynamic development of the regions and capital.
