President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation on December 30.

The President of Turkmenistan has issued a Decree declaring January 2, 2021 a day off for all institutions, enterprises and organizations irrespective of the type of ownership.

A regular issue of the journal ""Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan"" appeared in print. The issue tells about successes and achievements of this sector of the national economy, as well as the implementation of the tasks set by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On December 29, the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, financial and banking systems, agricultural complex and as well as committees of National Parliament together with their children and grandchildren have visited the Main New Year tree of the country, which is installed on the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center.

On December 29, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had video conference meeting with the dean of diplomatic corps in Turkmenistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Alexander Blokhin. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan R. Meredov has also taken part in online meeting.

On December 28, Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the Main New Year tree of the country, which is placed at the square in front of Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center, with his granddaughters. The guests were warmly greeted by Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, the usual characters of New Year celebration.

On December 28, the “Döwletliler Köşgi” Palace hosted the New Year’s celebrations. Within the framework of the festive event, New Year’s gifts were presented to children on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On December 28, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a round-table meeting with the participation of Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia, the Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalia Gherman.

By a Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, Nurberdi Garyagdyevich Nurberdiev has been appointed Pro-Rector for Research at Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
