Today, a festive event devoted to International Women’s Day widely marked in Turkmenistan has taken place in honour of glorious daughters of our independent country in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting of President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the members of Halk Maslakhaty of the first convocation and Mejlis deputies, which was held in the Halk Maslakhaty Office on March 1, was one of the central events of the past week.

Last week, 43 transactions were registered at the State Commodities and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Today, on the eve of the widely celebrated holiday in Turkmenistan - International Women's Day, a concert of masters of arts dedicated to the glorious daughters of the Motherland was held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center.

A meeting of voters with the candidate for the President of Turkmenistan – the chief doctor of the Avaza sanatorium of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the country, deputy of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Berdymammet Gurbanov, nominated by an initiative group of citizens of the Balkan velayat, took place today at the Mekan Palace of the capital’s khyakimlik.

Today, solemn events dedicated to the International Women's Day were held in the Turkmen capital. Within their framework, on behalf of the head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, ceremonies were held to honor mothers who gave birth and raised eight or more children, who, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, were awarded the honorary title of “Ene mähri”, and handed over keys to new comfortable apartments to large families.

Pre-election meetings with voters of contenders for the post of President of Turkmenistan continue in Turkmenistan. Visiting each velayat of the country, candidates, in accordance with the Electoral Code, use the equal rights and opportunities granted to them for freedom of campaigning, speaking at meetings with the electorate and in the media, which is a clear evidence of the triumph of the principles of democracy.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of France.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the outcome of work of sectors of national economy for two months was summed up, reports of relevant heads were heard and a number of other topical issues of state life were considered.
