President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on July 8, focused on the need to further accelerate the process of development and improvement of national legislation, which will make it possible to take consistent steps to optimize the political system and strengthen the country’s economy.

One of the priorities of the state policy being pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is rapid development of the agro-industrial complex, which is directly related to ensuring food abundance in the country, and a high level and quality of life for the population. Large-scale reforms are successfully carried out in this area, aimed at increasing its efficiency and expand the production of various types of agricultural output.

The next, 14th volume of the book “Toward New Heights of Progress”, prepared for printing by the Archival Fund of the President of Turkmenistan of the Main Archival Department under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, has been published.

In two age categories at once - among girls (under 17) and juniors (under 20) - Turkmen weightlifter Anamjan Rustamova won the title of Asian Vice Champion. A student of the 10th grade of the capital's sports school "Olimp" achieved this success at the continental youth championship taking place in Tashkent in the weight category up to 81 kg.

As is known, during his speech at the Fourth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held on July 21 in the Kyrgyz Republic, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan is currently preparing initiatives at the UN to declare 2023 the International Year of "Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace" and on the development of the Resolution of the General Assembly "Zone of Peace and Trust in Central Asia", emphasizing that he counts on the support of these constructive proposals by all the countries of Central Asia.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov and khyakims of velayats to discuss the progress of seasonal field work on agricultural lands of the country, as well as issues related to the implementation of the tasks outlined in the National Rural Program.

Last week, 73 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a regular meeting of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which was attended by heads and representatives of this commission, relevant ministries and departments of the country, and the media.
