On November 17, in the “Oguzkhan” Palace Complex, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov decorated the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Fahriya Alieva with a high state award – “Garaşsyz Türkmenistana bolan beýik söygüsi üçin” order. The solemn ceremony was attended by Mejlis Chairperson, some of the Cabinet Deputies Chairman, the Minister of Culture, heads of the National Parliament’s Committees, and the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Agrarian Party. Warmly welcoming the mentor and spiritual leader of many generations of theatre artists, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has emphasized that the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, scene coryphaeus - Fahriya Alieva, who devoted all her creative life to the art, is a country-known celebrity. She worked selflessly in the Turkmen State Mollanepes Academic Drama Theatre during 65 years, faithfully serving to our people, the nation’s leader said.

On November 8, comprised of popular singers, renowned musicians and dancers, Turkmenistan’s delegation took part in a grand opening ceremony of the International Turkic Culture Festival held in the Republic of Korea.

On November 2, the International Scientific Conference “The role of “Gerogly” epos in the world culture” was launched the Turkmen capital. The forum was organized by the country’s Ministry of Culture on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.

On October 26, the State Library of the State Cultural Center hosted solemn presentation of the Russian edition of the book by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”, which tells about the great Turkmen musician Shukur Bakhshi.

On the week bygone, the Turkmen capital hosted Days of Culture of the People’ Republic of China.

It was adopted the State Program on collection, study and preservation of national non-material cultural heritage within 2015-2020. The President of Turkmenistan signed today a relevant Resolution at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Turkmenabat.

Within the frameworks of continuing Culture week a premiere of “Ayna” opera has taken place in Rukhyyet Palace of Lebap velayat administrative enter – Turkmenabat.

Colorful solemnities, which marked the beginning of the Week of Culture, were held in Turkmenabat – administrative center of Lebap province. This large-scale action is held in our country for the third time and aimed at stimulation of creative activity and further development of national culture, its wide popularization in the world and integration into global cultural space.

The solemn ceremonies of presenting new books by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Türkmen medeniýeti” (Turkmen culture) and “Ile döwlet geler bolsa…” (Bagshi – messengers of people’s happiness) too place in the Lebap Velayat administrative centre within the fourth day of the Week of Culture.

The Week of Culture is going on in Turkmenabat. Program of its third day included the International Scientific Conference “Spiritual and cultural values of the Turkic people”, first show of performance “Seydi” of the State Music and Drama Theatre named after S. Seydi of Lebap province, joint performance of folk musicians, as well as concert with participation of masters of culture and art of Ashgabat and Akhal province. Solemnities on the occasion of opening of new facilities of urban infrastructure introduced their colors into bright palette of the Week of Culture.
