The fifth meeting of the Coordinating Committee on the World Heritage Serial Nomination of the Silk Road has started at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The capital’s Watan Cinema and Concert Hall hosted the solemn closing ceremony of the Cultural Days of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the joint concert of Kazakh and Turkmen artists. The event gathered numerous admirers of music and fine dance, including representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to our country, mass media and students.

Preparation to the UNESCO International Conference “The Silk Road: Present and Future Development” in Ashgabat on December 6 – 7 is carried out.

Programme of cultural and public events in December on occasion of remarkable dates of national calendar was drafted. Cultural events dedicated to International Neutrality Day and New Year celebration include the concerts of the art masters, theatre performances, thematic exhibitions and contests, scientific conferences and sport competitions.

Days of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which are aimed at the introduction of modern art and original music traditions of Kazakh nation, were opened in Ashgabat.

The programme of the Japanese Film Festival, held in the cinema theatre in the Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Centre in Ashgabat, includes five fictional and one animation films.

Nine feature films created by Russian cinematographers in different years compiled the program of the Days of Russian Cinema, which opened today in the capital, in the Ashgabat cinema center.

Cultural Days of the Republic of Croatia in Turkmenistan came to a close in Ashgabat. The cultural program included various events. A photo exhibition, Intangible Heritage of the Republic of Croatia, that took place at the exhibition hall of the Museum of Fine Arts, sought to introduce visitors to the ancient cultural traditions of the Istrian Peninsula, the city of Dubrovnik, the island of Hvar etc. The diversity of genres and artistic expressions was reflected in the works that illustrated the peculiarities of the art of singing and dancing, the decorative and applied art and crafts, and the national cuisine. The photographs that captured the highlights of Croatian festivals and celebrations occupied a special place at the exhibition.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine participated in the fifth Outlook World Culture Festival, a festival that celebrates a multitude of cultures from across the globe, which took place at the Mystetskyi Arsenal National Cultural and Art Complex in Kiev on October 27.
