Events of the past week clearly demonstrated that a proven economic strategy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and progressiveness of the reforms developed in the country in the year, the motto of which is «International year of peace and trust», are aimed at the deepening of the meaningful dialogue with all interested states, further advancement of our fatherland to new heights of development and increase of well-being of people.
On March 3, the head of the state held a working meeting, at which the work in the agricultural complex and regions of the country was considered.
Having focused attention to necessities of successful implementation of tasks designated in programs of social and economic development of the country, the President of Turkmenistan instructed relevant authorities to hold construction social, cultural and industrial projects planned to commission in velayats in the current year under a strict control.
The same day a telephone conversation took place between National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Hero-Arkadag noted that Turkmenistan highly appreciates the established relation in recent years with the State of Qatar and attaches a great significance to their expansion in all priority areas. He named among perspective vectors of interaction the oil and gas sector, chemical and textile industry, investment, transport and trading branches.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people invited Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to take part in the International forum of peace and trust and in festive actions on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan, which is set to be held in Ashgabat in December of this year.
On March 4, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Mejlis received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Turkmenistan Ricardo Martinez Vazquez.
The diplomat was informed on key aspects of the internal and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, realised large-scale national programs and transformations and the structure of the Mejlis and its legislative activity.
On March 4, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the capital, having familiarised with the course of construction of the International paediatric centre.
The new object designed for 160 beds will fill up the complex of establishments of system of public health services, operating in Ashgabat.
Units of the Centre will be equipped with advanced medical technologies from leading world manufacturers. Some devices will be established for the first time not only in our country, but also in the region.
A high level of services will ensure possibilities of digital technologies and artificial intelligence and, of course, highly skilled profile experts who have passed training in leading clinics of the world.
On March 5, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the meeting of the State Security Council, at which the work of military and law enforcement bodies for two months of the current year was summed up as well as issues of security and peace in our independent state, strengthening of the material and technical basis of security structures and further perfection of their activity were considered.
At the meeting, the President of the country signed the Decree «On appointment and release of judges of Turkmenistan and award of qualification classes».
On March 5, the telephone conversation between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani took place.
As they marked, the Turkmen-Iraq relations successfully develop in political -diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The President of Turkmenistan confirmed readiness to render all-round assistance for the opening of the diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Iraq in Ashgabat.
The issues connected with annual supply of 10 billion cubic meters of Turkmen natural gas to the Republic of Iraq under the SWAP scheme through the territory of neighbouring Iran were also discussed.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to take part in the representative forum, which will take place in Ashgabat on December 12 on the occasion of declaration of 2025 as «International year of peace and trust» at the initiative of our country by the General Assembly of the United Nations as well as in events in honour of the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
On March 6, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag where he familiarised with projects of new objects and held a working meeting.
On his way, Hero-Arkadag was informed on plans for reconstruction of the street running from a multilane ring highway to the "smart" city.
Chairperson of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined expediency to establish along the road of sculptures of glorified Akhal-Teke horses with the information on their family trees and achievements. At the same time, it was proposed to lay on both sides of the highway bicycle lanes and sand tracks for riding.
The sounded proposal of townsmen of Arkadag and horse breeders of the country to name the road «Ahalteke atlary» avenue will be sent for consideration of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag held a meeting on administrative issues of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship in the new city.
Preparation of the plan of actions, planned in honour of the 4th anniversary of creation of the Charitable Foundation was also considered.
In this regard, Hero-Arkadag underlined expediency of joint work with profile structures and authoritative international organisations, in particular, with United Nations Children's Fund. He also proposed to discuss with Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the country creation of new specialities connected with health protection of children at the Medical University named after Myrat Garryev.
National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarised with the course of construction of projects of the second turn in the city of Arkadag, with kinds of decorative work for the youth park, projects of social projects and transport infrastructure.
At the working meeting honoured architect of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag pointed out that in construction of industrial complexes and equipment of projects it is necessary to use effectively innovative methods and high technologies, having emphasised the quality, durability and long term use of building materials.
Results of the work fulfilled in branches of economy for two months of the current year, and a number of other issues of state life were discussed at the next online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on March 7.
The head of the state marked that results of the work of branches of economy for the past two months show a dynamical growth of our independent state. Like in the beginning of the year, GDP indicators in economy were kept at the level of 6,3 percent.

On March 7, Ashgabat hosted negotiations between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, who arrived to Turkmenistan with an official visit.
As they underlined, the Turkmen -Georgian relations are based on principles of equality, mutual respect and trust. A prominent aspect of the agenda of the interstate dialogue is issues of trade and economic cooperation. Positive results of interaction in the field of energy, industry and public health services were reached.
Transport and logistics sphere acts as one of the basic areas of bilateral partnership. Turkmenistan is interested in realisation and development of such projects, as transport route Black Sea-Caspian Sea, "Lapis Lazuli" and «Green ports».
At the same time, the head of the state underlined that Turkmenistan highly appreciates support of Georgia in realisation of its peace-making initiatives.
Having noted that on December 12 of the current year Ashgabat will host the representative forum devoted to the International year of peace and trust, and actions in honour of the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the Prime Minister of Georgia to take part in them.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed interest of Georgia in the further strengthening and development of traditionally friendly dialogue and mutually beneficial partnership with our country.
During discussion of a wide spectrum of issues of interstate cooperation, its priority areas at the present stage and in the light of plans for the future were concretised.
On the sidelines of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Turkmenistan negotiations between delegations of two countries, the agendas of which included key issues of interaction in various spheres took place.
Following the results of negotiations a number of bilateral documents were. They included: the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia for 2025–2026; the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Georgia on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters; the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Georgia on Cooperation in Plant Protection; the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Sports between the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Sports of Georgia.
The same day members of the delegation of Turkmenistan held bilateral meetings with their Georgian colleagues, in which priority issues of interaction on a number of branches were discussed.

Hero-Arkadag stated the basic areas of the home and foreign policy of the country and the position of Turkmenistan on water and energy issues standing in the centre of the world agenda, global and regional cooperation.
The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty underlined that neutrality - a basis of the foreign policy held by us, which accurately defines principles of interaction of Turkmenistan with the world community, including the one under complex conditions.
Speaking of the situation between Russia and Ukraine, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country adheres to three basic positions: preservation of political neutrality recognised as the United Nations; solution of all arising interstate disputes exclusively on the basis of the Charter of the United Nations and conventional norms of international law; non-acceptance of the use of force in the international relations.
The special attention in the interview was given to water problems in the region and to cooperation between the international community and the Government in this area. In this connection, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty proposed to establish the Regional council of water use in the countries of Central Asia and expressed support of adoption of Conventions of the United Nations on the rivers Amu Darya and Syr-Darya.
Concerning relations with Afghanistan it was noted that Turkmenistan started and successfully puts into practice a number of important and perspective economic projects with participation of Afghanistan, including construction of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India, transmission lines and communication lines to Pakistan via territories of Afghanistan and construction of the railways from our country in the afghan direction.
Concerning cooperation with the European Union readiness of Turkmenistan for supply of natural gas to Europe, including through the Transcaspian route, and interest in electric energy export was stated.
On the threshold of the first Summit of Central Asia-European Union, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed hope of adjustment of equal, strategic and active dialogue, having underlined that cooperation should be long-term, constructive, complex and concrete.
On the eve of the International Women's Day solemn ceremonies on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to present monetary gifts to all women, including female students, schoolgirls and female children of preschool institutions.
This year according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan 253 our compatriots were awarded the honorary title «Ene mähri». Many large families became owners of keys to new apartments with high conveniences.

On March 8, in the hall of festive events of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the festive action devoted to International Women's Day was held and it marked firmness of cultural wealth of the nation, adherence to primordial relics of Turkmen people, in which the woman-mother plays an important role as keeper of the family hearth. In the celebration, Hero-Arkadag also take an online part and congratulated women with the holiday.
Thus, the past week was marked by the events which have visually shown success of the state policy, realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, overall objectives of which - complex development of the country, maintenance of happy life of Turkmen nationals, consolidation of friendly and good-neighbourhood relations for universal peace and stability.
