The events of the past week serve as a vivid example of how, in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, under the far-sighted leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, fundamental transformations are taking place not only in the national economy, but also in state building, the life of society as a whole, large-scale programs and projects designed to to ensure the further development and progress of the Fatherland, the improvement of the well-being of the people.

On January 23, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system, which reviewed the progress of agricultural work in the regions.

The head of state ordered to increase the pace of cultivation of areas for cotton, prepare machinery and equipment for the upcoming sowing campaign and provide tenants with high-quality seeds.

The hyakims were given specific instructions regarding compliance with agrotechnical standards when caring for wheat crops, optimal preparation for planting potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops.

In addition, the President of the country instructed to keep the focus on the stable functioning of heating systems of social facilities, uninterrupted supply of electricity, water and natural gas to settlements, as well as ensuring water flow in the rivers located in the territories of Lebap and Mary velayats.

Relevant instructions were given to control the quality and pace of construction of social and industrial facilities within the framework of the Program for the socio-economic development of the country.

The participants of the working meeting once again cordially congratulated the head of state on a significant event - the creation of the Halk Maslakhaty, as well as on the appointment of Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as the Chairman of this highest representative body of people's power and recognition of him at the legislative level as the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

On January 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who was on a working trip to Mary Velayat, held an off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. On the agenda is the discussion of topical issues of state policy and drafts of a number of documents.

The topics discussed included the activities of the Parliament to improve national legislation and preparation for the elections of deputies of the Mejlis, which are scheduled for March this year.

It was reported on the development in accordance with international standards of the national system of standardization, modernization and diversification of the petrochemical industry, the state of affairs in the agro-industrial sector, activities for rational water use, the creation of joint trading houses in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

In addition, information was provided on the program of events on the occasion of the announcement of 2023 as the year “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar”, on conferences, creative meetings, media forums, song and music and other celebrations scheduled for February this year, dedicated to the achievements of the Fatherland, the motto of the current year, the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, the Day of Diplomats, the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a specialized exhibition of Iran will also take place.

Particular attention was paid to the development of international youth cooperation. As it was emphasized, the tasks in this direction were initially designated among the key items on the agenda of the United Nations, as evidenced by a number of adopted documents.

In order to expand interaction, it is advisable to consider the preparation of a long-term Strategy for the International Partnership of the Turkmen Youth, in particular, the creation of an International Center for Young Diplomats on the basis of the IIR, as well as the opening of branches of foreign higher educational institutions at domestic universities.

To exchange best practices, it is proposed to intensify ties in the field of education with authoritative international organizations, including the UN, OSCE, EU, CIS.

In the context of deepening cooperation with foreign partners in the field of youth science, it was proposed to provide in the above-mentioned Strategy for comprehensive steps to create a National Center for High Technologies in Turkmenistan, as well as an appropriate system.

In addition, the draft of this document proposes to include targeted measures to intensify a fruitful dialogue in the field of culture, in particular, develop the Young Talents program, establish close contacts with relevant state and public structures of other countries for its practical implementation, organize International Youth games and run them on an ongoing basis.

The meeting addressed issues of further improvement of the management of the maritime and river transport industry in accordance with international standards, introduction of advanced world experience in this sector, strengthening cooperation with foreign companies engaged in international cargo transportation.

Stressing that Balkan Shipbuilding and Repair Plant Open Joint-Stock Company is one of the main domestic shipbuilding enterprises, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to expand the national marine fleet, mastering the production of various types of ships.

At the meeting, the head of state signed the Resolution on growing a high cotton crop in Turkmenistan in 2023.

This year, the country plans to allocate 580,000 hectares of land for cotton sowing and produce 1,250,000 tons of raw cotton. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection provides for the purchase of machinery, units and spare parts.

Last week, the President of the country signed documents on the establishment of a court and prosecutor's office in the city of Arkadag, Akhal velayat.

On January 27, celebrations were held in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland. On the eve of this glorious date, the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov Serdar Gurbangulyevich was awarded the military rank of army general by the Resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

Congratulating the servicemen and employees of the country's law enforcement agencies on their professional holiday, the head of state stressed that the National Army would be constantly equipped with advanced military weapons, military equipment, advanced digital systems, new residential buildings with all amenities and military camps would be built. The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed Decrees, in accordance with which a group of servicemen and employees of the military and law enforcement agencies of the country was awarded state medals for services to the state and people, great success in fruitful state and social activities and in honor of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland Turkmenistan, military and special ranks, class ranks were also awarded.

The heads of the two friendly states exchanged congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, discussed the prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation, and exchanged views on the most pressing topics of international and regional politics of mutual interest.

Last week, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the outskirts of Ashgabat, paying special attention to the issues of rational use of the water of the Karakum River and other sources, ensuring normal water flow in the channel, strengthening the banks of rivers and canals.

During the trip, the Hero-Arkadag stopped on the bridge located on the 798th kilometer of the Karakum River.

On January 28, the next, VIII congress of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly was held in the Mekan Palace in the capital, in which delegates of youth organizations from Ashgabat and regions of the country took part.

The agenda included a set of issues of youth policy, discussion of ways to solve current and future tasks set by the President of the country and the Hero-Arkadag - the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the young generation in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state.

With great enthusiasm, the participants listened to the Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which emphasized the importance of the forum, designed to become a significant event in the life of Turkmen youth, filled with great love for the Motherland and committed to the ideals of humanism, goodwill and friendship.

The forum delegates focused on the importance of the new edition of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Youth Policy”, which provides, in particular, a number of benefits to support youth entrepreneurship, young professionals taking their first steps in the labor field, a temporary deferment for school graduates from conscription for military service and others

The speakers noted that the youth enthusiastically accepted the legislative recognition of the high status of the Hero-Arkadag as the National Leader of the Turkmen people and his appointment as Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, which is a sign of deep respect and recognition of his merits in strengthening sovereignty, increasing international authority and increasing the economic potential of the Motherland.

The delegates discussed and unanimously voted for the introduction of amendments and additions to the Charter of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, which take into account, first of all, modern realities and tasks emanating from the new version of the Law “On State Youth Policy”, as well as from the goals set for young people by the President of the country and the Hero - Arkadag. The participants of the congress unanimously adopted the Resolution arising from the tasks assigned to the Youth Organization at the new stage.

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as from the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, they were presented with valuable gifts.
