Topical issues of development of interstate cooperation in the transport sector were discussed today by the leaders of the relevant sectors of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, on the eve of the first trilateral summit.
The agenda of the meeting included a wide range of issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation in creating a modern infrastructure for sea, road and rail transportation of passengers and goods.
As noted, the fraternal countries have a huge potential in the transport field and strive to realize it together in order to maintain sustainable economic growth, improve the well-being of the peoples of the three states and strengthen international trade relations.
A separate topic of negotiations was issues related to the adoption of joint measures for the development of rail transport, the development of a draft Agreement on the creation of competitive tariffs and conditions for the implementation of rail transport.
Among the main topics of the meeting is the harmonization and creation of favorable conditions for road carriers. In this regard, the possibilities of developing mechanisms for issuing visa procedures were considered.
Also, in order to develop container transportation by rail, road and sea, the interaction of the relevant structures of the three countries in the development of common mechanisms for container transportation and the creation of favorable tariff conditions was discussed.
Speaking about cooperation between specialists in the field of cybersecurity and innovative technologies, the meeting participants expressed a similar opinion on the need to organize forums and discussions for the exchange of experience, as well as the development of mechanisms for training and retraining personnel in this area.
