As part of the program of the visit, in the afternoon, the head of Turkmenistan visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). Here, the distinguished guest was cordially welcomed by the AIFC leaders.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Centre and its activities, the priority goal of which is the development of a liquid and balanced capital market with a wide range of financial services and investment instruments.

The AIFC, which is an open platform for business cooperation, includes a number of specialized bodies and institutions. The head of Turkmenistan was informed in detail about the main activities of the AIFC structures, including the Court and the International Arbitration Centre, the Committee for the Regulation of Financial Services, the Centre for Islamic Finance and Business, the Centre for Green Finance. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also got acquainted with the specifics of the work of «AIFC Business Connect», a subsidiary of the AIFC Administration.

One of the components of the AIFC infrastructure is the Expat Centre, which operates on the principle of a «single window» that provides the relevant services to foreign specialists working in Kazakhstan.
