Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the solemn opening ceremonies of new transport infrastructure facilities - passenger bus stations in the Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats via the use of a digital system.

Architectural premieres dedicated to the 31st anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence brought bright and characteristic touches to the panorama of festive events. The opening of significant objects on the eve of significant dates in the life of the country has already become a tradition, eloquently testifying to the growing economic power of the Turkmen state, its social progress, which is also reflected in the scale of construction deployed in all corners of the Fatherland.

The commissioning of new industry facilities is a clear confirmation that the formation of a modern transport system is among the priorities of the strategy for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. Our country, which occupies an exceptionally favorable geographical position - at the crossroads of regional and interregional routes running through Central Asia - has a huge transit potential and strives to realize it with maximum efficiency.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov defined the development of the transport sector as one of the important directions of the economic strategy of our Motherland in the modern era. The National Program “Revival of the New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052”, “The Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022-2028”, “The National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Transformation of the Social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities of etraps and etrap centers for the period until 2028”. Within their framework, large-scale work is underway to modernize the transport sector in accordance with international standards, and new bus stations are being built.
