In accordance with national plans for diversifying the economy, import substitution and increasing exports in Turkmenistan, the production infrastructure and the range of commodity products produced for the domestic and foreign markets are constantly expanding. At a government meeting on Tuesday, the next practical steps for the production of new types of import-substituting products at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries were considered. The range of products offered includes semi-synthetic lubricating motor oils, fuel for ships, aluminum-reinforced polypropylene microfilm for packaging food products, medical and industrial products, as well as for design work. Their production will be based on the processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, which is a promising direction in the development of the country's fuel and energy complex.

In the gas chemical industry, along with the production of simple mineral fertilizers, the production of more efficient combined fertilizers will be established. This product, which is in demand on the domestic and world markets, will be produced by a new workshop, which, in accordance with the decree signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is planned to be built at the Turkmenabat chemical plant. Recently widespread combined (complex) fertilizers contain two or more basic nutrients necessary for plants in the form of a balanced mixture of mineral salts. The use of mineral fertilizers is one of the main methods of intensive farming, which makes it possible to significantly increase the yields of agricultural crops.

Domestic entrepreneurs are making their growing contribution to the production of new goods and building up the country's export potential. In order to fulfill the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the construction of industrial and production facilities in 2020-2023, it is planned to build a new plant for the production of ceramic finishing plates and sanitary ware products in the Bakherden district of the Ahal velayat, in the production of which Turkmen entrepreneurs already have some experience. The implementation of the new project was entrusted to the economic company "Eziz doganlar". The enterprise, the construction of which is planned to be completed in June 2024, will be equipped with the latest equipment from leading foreign manufacturers. Its annual capacity will be 3 million 300 thousand square meters of ceramic tiles and 120 thousand units of sanitary ware.
