Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection have taken part in two-day online meeting of the experts from the country members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which was organized by the CIS Executive Committee.
Video conference consultations were dedicated to cooperation in veterinary sphere, realization of scientific and research programs and projects, which are aimed at timely diagnostics and prevention of animal diseases.
The sides have exchanged the information about epizootic situation in the member countries of the CIS, measures undertaken for mitigation of negative impact caused by COVID-19, compliance with veterinary requirements during export and import of cargo under control of veterinary services.
It was highlighted that special attention is paid in Turkmenistan to enhancement of potential of agricultural complex, including to development of livestock, poultry and horse breeding, scientific selection and breeding.
For this purpose, equipment and facility base of agricultural complex and its industries is gradually improved, international cooperation with profile foreign establishments, scientific institutions and international organizations is expanded in this sphere.
The role of the State Veterinary Service in health protection of agricultural and wildlife animals and birds, prevention of various diseases, provision of high quality and safety of livestock and poultry production, which is made in the country and imported, as well as animal food and veterinary medication has been noted.
