Last week, 158 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. In foreign currency, entrepreneurs from Great Britain, the UAE, Turkey, Switzerland, Malta, Afghanistan, among others, bought aviation kerosene, gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel, residual oil, and petroleum bitumen, produced at the Turkmenbashi Refinery Complex. Businessmen from the UAE, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan made deals for purchasing ECO 93 gasoline (Turkmengaz State Concern), and representatives of business circles from Kazakhstan – carbamide (Turkmenkhimiya State Concern). Deals in foreign currency also included clear sheet glass, cotton yarn and licorice root extract. They were made by traders from the UAE, Turkey, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan. The sum total of the transactions exceeded US $116, 000,000. In local currency, entrepreneurs from the UAE, Scotland, and Kazakhstan bought cotton yarn. The sum total of the deals was some 15, 000,000 manats. For the domestic market, local businessmen bought high-density polyethylene and polypropylene (Turkmengaz State Concern), and handmade carpets (some 320, 000, 000 manats).
