Farmers of Dashoguz Velayat have started sowing of rice. This year, the crop will be planted on the area of 8,100 hectares, from which it is planned to produce 35,000 tons of rice. Big number of modern specialized agricultural equipment will be involved in sowing campaign. Almost all area of rice field is located in S. Turkmenbashy etrap, which has all necessary condition for production of big harvest of rice and modern facility for rice husking, which delivers high quality production to consumers as well as provides seeding material to specialized farms. Nukus – 2, Munbashy, Alenga rice species, which highly recommended itself in local soil and climate conditions, are cultivated in the region. Developed profile infrastructure has been established in Dashoguz Velayat due to the government investments. The region has big fleet of modern specialized equipment, necessary facilities for storage and processing of production. In the last years, representatives of business community of the country develop this branch of agricultural production. For example, private facility for rice husking with output capacity of 250 tons per year has been built in the velayat by member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country Timur Rejepov.
