Expansion of partnership with the World Bank reviewed at video conference session

Priorities of partnership between Turkmenistan and the World Bank under the Agreement on Commercial Consulting Services were the main subjects of the session held in video conference format at the State Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs. In the last years, our state has entered new level of development and actively integrates into the world economy. At the same time, Turkmenistan has significantly expanded relations with international financial and economic structures including with the World Bank. Joint programmes in health protection sphere, statistics, transport, training of specialists for banking and financial complexes are implemented. Discussing plans of cooperation under works outlined in the Agreement, the participants of online meeting exchanged views on perspectives of intensification of relations in the context of reform of national economy, in particular its non-governmental sector. In this regard, opportunities of investments and provision of consulting services for private financial institutes, small enterprises, medium and big companies of our country have been reviewed. It was mentioned that this document provides activity for support of reformation of business model and corporate management in banking sector, support to development of the system of credit reporting, improvement of macroeconomic statistics. Its practical realization will support expansion of partnership, in particular in the sphere of financing of new projects and programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan.
