Today on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Fatherland, on order of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the ceremony of presentation of the prestigious state awards to the military servicemen and workers of the military and law enforcement bodies of the country was held.
Considering the contribution to strengthening the defense capability of the Motherland, fulfillment of the sacred military duty, great services in strengthening the rule of law and order, maintaining peace in society, as well as on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and in accordance with paragraph 15 of Article 71 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree "On conferring military and special ranks, as well as class ranks to servicemen and employees of the military and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan".
Today the major national holiday – Independence Day- is celebrated in Turkmenistan. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan the ceremonial events are held through our country. The festive morning started with the flower-laying ceremony to the Independence Monument. The Government tribune complex became the center of the major ceremonies on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of sacred independence, opened on the eve of the holiday.
The performance of masters of the arts dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan was held today at the stage of the capital’s «Mejlisler merkezi». President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in the ceremony.
Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in the opening ceremony of the complex, which has no analogue in the region - it is shopping-entertaining and business centres, and also a modern residential house, which received the symbolical name "Ashgabat".
Today in the capital, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in our country to participate in the celebrations in honor of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.
Today in the capital was held the solemn ceremonies of presentation of the prestigious state awards to the best workers of various branches of the national economy, foremost workers, employees of the ministries and departments, their structural organizations, creative actors, veterans of work, who made a substantial personal contribution to the socio-economic development of the sovereign Turkmenistan, increase of its international authority.
