Today an event has taken place at the capital’s “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace on the New Year’s Holiday, during which gifts from the President of Turkmenistan were presented to children.

Caring for the younger generation and preserving family values and high spiritual ideals are an important and integral part of the state policy being pursued by Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov based on generally recognized international standards and highly humane national traditions. All opportunities have been created for young citizens of Turkmenistan to achieve comprehensive intellectual and physical development, show their abilities and talents.

It should be noted that this year, on the initiative of the head of state, in order to provide social support to the rising generation, assist children in need of guardianship in the recovery of their health, as well as create favorable conditions for their happy life, the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was established. The President of the country regularly donates personal funds to this foundation.

The leader of the nation pays special attention to children who have lost their families. They are well educated and harmoniously develop in our country. At the same time, everything possible is being done so that they acquire not only knowledge, but also various professions that allow them, when leaving school, to confidently step into adulthood.

Following the advice from the leader of the nation, the young occupiers of the Palace study diligently, spend their leisure time in an interesting and useful manner, engage in fine and applied arts, music and dance, train in sports sections, participate in public health-improving and other social events.

Among the occupiers of “Döwletliler köşgi” there are the Gulbab children’s prize winners, as well as national creative competitions, including “Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri”. The works by young artists are exhibited at various shows. Dance ensemble “Joşgun” is the repeated prize-winner at festivals in foreign countries.

Today, a festive atmosphere reigns in “Döwletliler köşgi” located in the picturesque Kopetdag foothills in the southwest of the capital city. Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, workers in the arts, representatives of the education sector arrived at the Palace to wish the children Happy New Year.

It is important to note that many elements of the festive decoration of the hall, including some original New Year’s tree toys, were made by the skillful hands of members of the handicraft hobby circle, who, following the advice from the leader of the nation, study and develop national traditions.

The ensemble “Joşgun” welcomes the guests with a bright stirring dance.

On behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the occupiers of the Palace were conveyed heartfelt congratulations, kind wishes and, of course, were presented with many gifts containing the products of the country’s textile industries, sets of sports and winter wear, embroidered national dresses for girls, and traditional sweets.

The festive celebration participants expressed in verses their sincere gratitude to the President of the country for paying attention to and caring for young citizens of Turkmenistan.

Then a funny performance began at the sparkling with its decorative lighting beautiful New Year’s tree with Ayaz Baba, Garpamyk and fairy-tale characters.

The young occupiers of the Palace have prepared wonderful creative surprises for the New Year’s Holiday. They recited poems, performed stirring dances and inspired songs glorifying their Homeland, as well as celebrating their favorite New Year’s Holiday.

Workers in the country’s arts, including pop singers, performed before the children with an interesting concert program.

At the end of the celebration, the occupiers of “Döwletliler köşgi” once again thanked Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their happy peaceful childhood, constant care and attention, having expressed their the best wishes and congratulations on the coming New Year’s Holiday.

This festive event has opened a series of New Year’s celebrations. Tomorrow, representatives of public organizations, educational and cultural institutions, the capital’s khyakimlik, who also prepared their gifts for the occupiers of “Döwletliler köşgi”, will attend the New Year’s event at the Palace. Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture will entertain the children with a concert program composed of original song, musical and circus performances.
