The Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has approved the Activity Plan on Turkmenistan’s chairmanship in the Energy Charter Conference for 2017. The Plan provides for variety of activities, to be held in Turkmenistan and abroad.

In accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the Foundation for restoration and preservation of national historical and cultural monuments will be created at the National management on protection, study and preservation of historical and cultural sites of Turkmenistan.

The construction rates of Garlyk potash mining and processing complex in Koytendag district of Lebap province have been accelerated due to mobilizing additional forces of local companies and increase of labor resources. The project procures essential construction materials from domestic market. The required number of construction machinery is involved.

The State Museum of the State Cultural Centre has opened an updated and expanded exposition hall dedicated to the history and culture of the Middle Ages.

The fourth release of the collection of articles from the series “Art and architecture of Turkmenistan” was issued. It continues the publication of the annual scientific reports of the National Directorate for protection, study and restoration of historical and cultural monuments and of the State Academy of Arts.

The new issue of the quarterly magazine ""Construction and architecture of Turkmenistan introduces readers to the materials devoted to scientific research in the field of earthquake engineering, introduction of new building materials and structures, urban planning aspects of the design of towns and villages, study of the architectural heritage.

According to economic strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, phased transition to market economy is followed by the solution of issues for efficient use of natural resources, increase of production of different goods made of domestic materials, saturation of local market with high quality native goods, which are able to compete foreign analogues.
