As was noted during the talks in Dushanbe, the cultural and humanitarian sphere is one of the priority areas of the interstate relations. The representatives of science, culture and arts of the both countries regularly take part in the international events, organized in Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

During the talks in Dushanbe, it was underlined the necessity to enhance cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral format in the environmental sphere. In this regard, Turkmenistan suggests specifying the work on the establishment of permanent specialized structures in the Central Asian region to focus on the international cooperation in the environmental sphere.

The agenda of interstate cooperation includes realization of projects in energy sphere and Turkmenistan is willing to review in details existing capabilities. New energy facilities built in Lebap and Mary Velayats allow increasing several times the volumes of energy supplied toward Afghanistan and if Tajik side would express the interest to supply the energy via Afghanistan to Tajikistan during autumn and winter period, Turkmen leader noted.

The transport sphere today ranks among the priority areas of the Turkmen-Tajik cooperation. As is known, the construction of the Asian international railway corridor – Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan has been launched in accordance with the top-level agreements achieved in March, 2013.

Situation in Afghanistan was separate subject of Turkmen – Tajik negotiations. It was mentioned in this context that regulation of the situation in neighbouring country can be achieved only by peaceful political means based on all-nation dialog with participation of all responsible and constructive Afghan powers.

After one-on-one meeting of the leaders of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, the talks were continued in extended format with participation of the official delegations of both countries.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a two-day official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and other officials extended a cordial welcome to the President of Turkmenistan at the International Airport in Dushanbe.

Turkmenistan industrial sector of the economy for 10 months of this year demonstrates a steady growth in production indicators.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the leadership of the Turkmen agro-industrial complex go into the issue on exporting agricultural products. The Head of the state said about it at a government meeting dedicated to the results of 10 months of 2017.

GDP of Turkmenistan for 10 months of 2017 has increased by 6.4 percent. In industry this figure made up 3.9 percent, construction – 2.9 percent, transport and communication sector – 11.1 percent, trade – 9.8 percent, agriculture – 4.9 percent and in the service sector – 9.7 percent.
