The agenda of interstate cooperation includes realization of projects in energy sphere and Turkmenistan is willing to review in details existing capabilities. New energy facilities built in Lebap and Mary Velayats allow increasing several times the volumes of energy supplied toward Afghanistan and if Tajik side would express the interest to supply the energy via Afghanistan to Tajikistan during autumn and winter period, Turkmen leader noted. Speaking of the cooperation in energy sector, the Head of Turkmenistan, taking an opportunity, invited representative delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan to take part in the session of the Energy Charter Conference chaired by our country this year in Ashgabat on November 28 – 29. Importance of active participation of both states in social and economic projects in the region has been highlighted. Having stated special urgency of water and energy issues both in bilateral relations and under regional cooperation, Turkmen leader highlighted that discussion and solution of these problems have to be made based on the standards of international law, mutual respect and considering the interests of all states in the region with participation of international organizations.
