One of the important events, which took place on August 6 in Avaza national tourist zone and dated for the Consultative meeting of heads of the states of Central Asia, held under the chairmanship of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was the Economic forum of the countries of the region. As it was already informed, members of governments, heads of ministries and branch departments, representatives of financial organisations, private business, other corresponding structures, and also mass media of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kirghiz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in it.

Strategic partnership for peace, stability, universal well-being and progress - this basic principle of the foreign policy doctrine of Turkmenistan is very topical today for modern international relations. With all evidence it was shown by the third Consultative meeting of heads of the Central Asian states, which took place under the chairmanship of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the coast of the Caspian Sea, Avaza national tourist zone.

Turkmenistan has once again confirmed its conventional status as country-innovator, country-creator of ideas which proposes to the world essentially new, complex, al-round and universal approaches to the solution of actual issues of modernity of regional and global scale initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The events that took place on March 25 – the official opening of several greenhouse complexes across the country – are highly important and meaningful in many ways. First and foremost, they mark a new step towards achieving the country’s food self-sufficiency and supplying the domestic market with high-demand consumer products.

During the opening ceremony of innovative facilities of medical infrastructure on the Day of Health Prevention and Medical Industry Personnel of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has noted that medical diplomacy, which is support activation of fruitful international cooperation and exchange of practice in this important sphere, receives special currency these days.

“We think that the United Nations Organization is to play the main and resolving role in protection of international order on the principles of mutual respect, equality and political dialog. The legitimacy of this UN mission cannot be questionable. The UN is the only universal international organization, which is to provide multidimensional cooperation for strengthening of global security and sustainable development”, - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlights.

Regular session of the WTO General Council, during which application of Turkmenistan for obtaining of the status of observer in this competent international structure has been reviewed, was held in the Headquarter of the World Trade organization in Geneva, Switzerland on July 22.

In connection with the ongoing new type coronavirus pandemic and the comprehensive measures adopted on the part of the international community on counteraction against this global threat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan informs about the following.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has approved new edition of National strategy for climate change, by thus having started next stage of steadfast work for planning and response to climate impacts in our country.

Unanimous adoption of the Resolution on declaration of 2021 as International Year of Peace and Trust proposed by Turkmenistan by the member states at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly indicates big requirement of this initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
