President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov heard the reports of the Akhal, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats’ khyakims on the successful implementation of treaty obligations on raw cotton production by the country’s farmers, and the Balkan velayat khyakim on the delivery of targeted amounts of horticultural production. On behalf of the rural toilers, region leaders congratulated the head of state on the labor victory of Turkmen farmers. This year, laborious daykhans also coped honorably with contractual obligations, having grown and gathered the rich harvest of cotton that is the national wealth, the President of Turkmenistan underlined, also noticing the work of local grain farmers who delivered the profuse wheat harvest to Homeland Harman from year to year, and this fall completed sowing of winter grains in due course. The country’s farmers continue the work at high pressure to harvest cotton till a last box. As it was emphasized by attendees, great attention is paid to the development of agro-industrial complex, creation of conditions for fruitful work of farmers. Then children – young messengers from the velayats, entered the chamber, carrying hurjuns (sacks) with cotton in their hands. Thanking the children for their congratulations and wishes, the head of state presented them gifts. At request of the children, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a picture taken with them as a keepsake. Qualitatively new frontiers will be reached in the course of carrying-out the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan on the country’s socio-economic development for 2018-2024”. Reforms, implemented by the head of state gained additional momentum to the rural sector development. The transition to new forms of management in the country, oriented to the market relations, will fill the markets with various products of domestic manufacture, and strengthen the AIC export potential.
