Turkmenistan and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation on priority areas of interaction. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding decree at a government meeting. As was noted at the meeting, Turkmenistan, being committed to strategic partnership with the UN, is consistently building constructive interaction with its specialized institutions, including with UNCTAD. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development was established in 1964. 194 states are its members. 114 international organizations have the status of observers under UNCTAD. This structure is the key UN body on trade, development, finance, technology and investment.
