The Central Officers’ Club hosted an awarding of the poetry contest winners, which was organized by the “Milli goşun” magazine of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. For the first time, the creative contest was held in the online format, net surfers could participate it, and an online voting determined winners. There was a fight between 50 works, published on the “Milli goşun” magazine’s website. According to the rules, the first three places were determined by a number of voices of Internet users, and the fourth place was awarded by the creative team of the “Milli goşun” magazine. Ilaman Veliev from Balkanabat city – the author of the poem “Watan” became the winner. Resident of Ashgabat Beggeldy Babahanov with the work “Guwanýaryn saňa ata Watanym” took the second place. Capital’s resident Rustem Hojageldyev with the poem “Türkmendir” took the third place. The editorial board awarded the fourth place to the poem “Watan” by Ashir Khanov from Kunyaurgench city. The winners were awarded with modern flagship smartphones, and sports clothes with symbolics of the “Ashgabat 2017” Games.
