Ports’ heads of the Caspian countries will meet in Avaza

The five-party meeting of ports' heads of the Caspian states will be held in ""Avaza"", the National Tourist Zone on October 13-14 this year. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan will discuss issues of cooperation in the field of navigation, sea freight transportation, ensuring safety of navigation, capacity building of the Caspian ports, including through modernization of the production infrastructure, technical re-equipment and introduction of modern technologies into the sphere of servicing of ships. Annual joint meeting of ports' heads of the Caspian states are held since 2009 in one of the Caspian Sea's ports. The seventh joint five-party meeting was held in 2015 in the Iranian port of Amirabad, at which it was decided to hold a regular meeting in Turkmenistan.
